TERMS &
CONDITIONS
OF SERVICE.
The agreement between BuildCrates.com (hereafter “The Seller”) and you, the client who purchases blueprints (hereafter “The Customer”). Please read carefully — by visiting this site and placing an order, you consent to and confirm you understand every clause below.
You buy the design, not the wood. You pay roughly $3.00 USD in Bitcoin, we deliver the blueprint by email once the network confirms your payment, and you may build one physical crate from it. The eighteen clauses below are the precise language of that deal.
01Definitions
In these Terms & Conditions, the following words carry these meanings:
- “The Seller” — BuildCrates.com, the operator of this website and provider of the design service described herein.
- “The Customer” — the client that purchases blueprints; any natural or legal person who accesses the Site or places an Order.
- “The Site” — the website operated by The Seller at buildcrates.com and all its pages.
- “The Service” — the parametric design service for transport crates, coffins and caskets, heavy-duty and children's coffins, and scrap wood builds, delivered as digital blueprint files and an online parametric viewer.
- “Blueprints” — the digital deliverables: the blueprint PDF, its supporting render images, the complete design specification, and the permanent save of the parametric viewer on BuildCrates.com, in their review and retail packages.
- “Order” — a request for the Service submitted by The Customer through the Site's generator.
- “Bitcoin” — the peer-to-peer digital currency used as the sole payment method for the Service.
02Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing, browsing or using the Site in any way, and by submitting any Order, The Customer acknowledges having read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions in their entirety. If The Customer does not agree with any part of these Terms, The Customer must not use the Site or place an Order. Continued use of the Site constitutes ongoing consent to the version of these Terms published at the time of use.
03Nature of the Service — Blueprints, Not Crates
The word “crate” derives from the Latin cratis — a lattice or grating, a structure defined by the pattern of its members rather than by any particular piece of timber. In this same conditional sense, The Seller's offer is expressly conditioned on the design itself: the Service produces the engineering of the lattice — the Blueprints — and does not produce, ship, deliver, assemble or install any physical crate, wood, fasteners or hardware.
Accordingly, The Seller is not intended to sell a physical crate; rather, The Seller sells Blueprints from which The Customer — or a fabricator of The Customer's choosing — may manufacture the crate locally, from materials obtained by The Customer. The Customer understands and accepts that the deliverable of the Service is information in blueprint form, and that any physical crate built from it is built by, at the cost of, and under the responsibility of The Customer.
We sell the engineering of the crate — the blueprint — never the crate itself. You (or your fabricator) build it locally, from materials you obtain.
04Eligibility
The Service is available to any person who can form a binding agreement, and to legal entities duly constituted. By ordering, The Customer represents that the information provided (including the email address and order parameters) is accurate and that The Customer is authorised to make the purchase. The Service is available in all countries and territories, subject to any local law that may restrict the use of Bitcoin or digital services in The Customer's jurisdiction; The Customer is solely responsible for compliance with such local law.
05Orders & Pricing
An Order is formed when The Customer submits the order form with a valid email address and completes the order parameters. The Seller will then generate a unique Order ID, a dedicated Bitcoin invoice address and an invoice stating the exact amount due. The price of the Service is the equivalent of three US Dollars ($3.00 USD) per Order, converted into Bitcoin at a live market rate at the moment the Order is placed. The Seller may update this price at any time; the price applicable is the one shown on the invoice at the time of ordering.
You always see the exact BTC amount on your invoice before you pay — the live equivalent of $3.00 USD at the moment you order.
06Payment
- Payment is accepted exclusively in Bitcoin, sent to the dedicated address generated for the Order.
- The Order is considered paid once the network records at least one (1) confirmation of the transaction on the Bitcoin blockchain.
- Overpayments, underpayments or payments from third parties will be reconciled by The Seller on a best-efforts basis; discrepancies should be reported by email with the Order ID.
- The Seller does not accept bank transfers, cards or other payment methods, and is not responsible for any fees charged by The Customer's own wallet or exchange.
07Delivery of Digital Goods
Upon receipt of an Order, The Seller emails the review package (design preview and invoice) to The Customer's email address. Upon confirmation of payment as defined in clause 6, The Seller automatically emails the retail delivery package containing the complete Blueprints, together with a payment confirmation and the Order ID. Delivery is deemed complete when the email is dispatched to the address supplied by The Customer. The Customer is responsible for providing a correct, active email address and for ensuring that The Seller's messages are not blocked by spam filters.
08License & Intellectual Property
All Blueprints and all software, algorithms, documentation and other content of the Site remain the exclusive intellectual property of The Seller. Upon payment, The Seller grants The Customer a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Blueprints for the sole purpose of building one (1) physical crate for The Customer's own personal or internal business use.
- Permitted: viewing the files, having them fabricated by a third party on The Customer's behalf, and building the single crate described.
- Prohibited: reselling, redistributing, sublicensing, sharing, publishing or publicly displaying the Blueprint files or any derivative of them; using them to compete with The Seller; reverse-engineering, decompiling or extracting the underlying parametric engine; or building more than one crate from a single license without further payment.
Build your crate from the blueprint — even have a third party fabricate it for you. What you may not do is share or resell the blueprint files themselves.
09Review & Retail Packages
The review package is provided for inspection and constitutes a preview of the design. The retail package constitutes the final deliverable. The Seller may, in its discretion, refine the content of either package from time to time; the definitive content of each package is the content actually emailed to The Customer for the relevant Order.
10Refund Policy
Because the Blueprints are digital goods delivered instantaneously, all sales are final once the retail delivery email has been dispatched, except where a mandatory consumer-protection law of The Customer's jurisdiction requires otherwise. If The Customer does not receive the delivery email or the files are corrupted, The Seller will re-deliver or correct them at no charge upon request with the Order ID.
11Prohibited Conduct
The Customer agrees not to use the Site or the Service to: violate any law; infringe any third party's rights; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers or the Seller's systems; introduce malicious code; interfere with the operation of the Site; or misuse the 3D viewer, order system or any Order ID.
12Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site, the Service and the Blueprints are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. The Seller does not warrant that the Blueprints will meet every possible engineering standard, that any physical crate built from them will perform in any particular manner, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. The Customer remains responsible for verifying the adequacy of any design for The Customer's cargo, handling conditions and jurisdiction before construction.
13Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Seller shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, cargo or goodwill — arising from or relating to the use of the Site, the Service, the Blueprints, any crate built from them, or any failure of delivery. The Seller's total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the price paid by The Customer for the specific Order giving rise to the claim.
Our maximum liability for any claim is capped at the price you paid for that order — because the deliverable is the design, not the crate built from it.
14International Applicability
These Terms apply to the use of the Service in all countries and territories. Where a provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory rule of law in The Customer's jurisdiction, that mandatory rule prevails to the extent of the conflict, and the remaining provisions remain in full force. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
15Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which The Seller is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The parties will first attempt to resolve any dispute amicably by written communication. If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it shall be submitted to the competent courts of The Seller's jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rules giving The Customer access to local remedies.
16Amendments
The Seller may amend these Terms at any time by publishing the revised version on the Site. The revised version takes effect upon publication. Continued use of the Site or the placing of a new Order after publication constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Terms in force at the time of an Order govern that Order.
17Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect, and the invalid provision shall be interpreted, to the extent possible, in a manner that best reflects the parties' intent.
18Contact
Questions, correction requests or notices under these Terms may be sent to info@buildcrates.com. Please include the Order ID in any correspondence relating to a specific Order.
